Don\u2019t be too hard on yourself, it happens to the best of us. Too much water, too little sun, too close to the heating: there are many reasons why your plant may be dying. But don&#8217;t throw it away! There is a special place you can bring it to: the plant shelter. <!--more-->Here they will be nurtured back to health until they&#8217;re ready for adoption. Read all about it in this article.<\/p>\n<h2>What is a plant shelter?<\/h2>\n<p>If you have a dying plant \u2014 or a plant that no longer fits in your home \u2014 you can bring it to a plant shelter for free. Here, volunteers ensure that plants receive the right care, so that they will revive. The plants can stay there as long as they need. After that, they are ready for adoption! So you can also go to a plant shelter to adopt a plant. In return, you can make a donation. With this money, the volunteers can buy potting soil and other supplies for the plants. Wondering if there is one in your area? Just Google plant shelter + your place of residence and you will immediately see if there&#8217;s one. Sometimes you have to make an appointment in advance to go there, sometimes you can just walk in. So check this before you head over there.<\/p>\n<h3>Plant care tips<\/h3>\n<p>Of course prevention is better than cure. So here are a few plant care tips:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Anthuriums like to stand in a well-lighted place, but don\u2019t like direct sunlight.<\/li>\n<li>In the winter period, the Anthurium plant should be watered once a week.
