Le terme ikebana vient de \u00ab\u00a0ikeru\u00a0\u00bb (vie) et \u00ab\u00a0hana\u00a0\u00bb (fleur), et signifie \u00ab\u00a0donner vie aux fleurs\u00a0\u00bb. L’essence m\u00eame de cet art n’est pas de remplir un espace de fleurs, mais d\u2019en cr\u00e9er un \u00e0 l’aide de fleurs. Il souligne la puissance et la beaut\u00e9 d’une seule fleur en lui donnant toute l’attention qu’elle m\u00e9rite. Les fleurs et les branches forment la base d’une nature morte ikebana.<\/p>\n

Freakebana est aussi (ou surtout ?) un succ\u00e8s sur Instagram. Stella Bugbee, r\u00e9dactrice en chef de The Cut – la publication lifestyle du New York Magazine – est la fondatrice du compte Instagram<\/a>. Cette tendance a attir\u00e9 son attention, il y a un an, et elle a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d’y consacrer un compte. En quelques semaines, elle a comptabilis\u00e9 10 000 followers.
