The perfect solution if you often forget to water your plants
We’ve all been there: one moment your Anthurium plants are looking lush and vibrant, the next you notice drooping leaves or brown edges. In the rush of everyday life, plant care can easily slip down the priority list. Fortunately, there’s a way to make things easier. In this article, you’ll discover everything you need to know about WaterWick – the ideal solution if you often forget to water your plants. Perfect for busy lifestyles or if you’re simply looking for a smarter way to care for your plants!
What is WaterWick?
WaterWick is a smart and sustainable watering system that allows your Anthurium plant to absorb exactly the right amount of water. It’s an innovative wick system that works with a water reservoir. Through the wick, the plant draws up only the water it needs. That means you don’t have to remember to water it constantly, and you won’t have to worry about soil that’s too dry or overly wet. The result: healthier plants, less maintenance and no unnecessary water waste. Ideal for anyone who loves greenery but doesn’t always remember to water it.

Don’t worry about watering your plants
The WaterWick works as follows:
- Choose a decorative pot that is watertight and fill it with water to just below the base of the Anthurium’s nursery pot. Make sure the nursery pot is not sitting directly in the water, as this can cause root rot.
- Place the plant with the WaterWick into the decorative pot. In a tapered pot, the nursery pot will often rest naturally in place. If not, add a few stones to the bottom so that the nursery pot stands securely and the wick can absorb the water properly.
- Sit back and relax! Your Anthurium will drink at its own pace, taking up only what it needs. You’ll only need to top up the water occasionally. In summer, this will be more frequent than in winter.
