Short days, little sunshine and a world of grey tones: winter can take a real toll on your energy and mood. Luckily, spring is just around the corner – and you don’t even have to wait for it! With flowers, you can bring the feeling of spring into your home right now. In doing so, you give both yourself and your interior a fresh boost of energy. And if there’s one flower that does this perfectly, it’s the Anthurium. Goodbye winter blues and hello to flowers!

Goodbye winter blues and hello flowers

At a time when the world outside still looks bare, Anthuriums bring life and warmth indoors. They come in a wide range of colours, including classic spring shades such as white, green and yellow. There are also multicoloured Anthuriums, where subtle transitions from one hue to another create a truly fascinating effect – think, for example, of a plant with bright yellow-green tones.

Choose flowers in colours that complement your interior, or go for contrast instead. White Anthuriums create a calm, minimalist look, while orange varieties add energy and warmth to any space.

Long lasting flowers

What makes the Anthurium especially remarkable is its long flowering period. While many flowers start to droop after just a week, Anthuriums remain beautiful for weeks on end. This makes them not only a stylish choice, but a sustainable one too. With the right care, you can enjoy them even longer. Here’s how:

  • Use a clean vase, cut 5 cm off the bottom of the stems and place the flowers in water.
  • Position them in indirect sunlight. Keep them away from draughts and ripening fruit, and don’t place them near a radiator.
  • Change the water in the vase about once a week. At the same time, trim another centimetre off the stems at an angle. This helps them absorb water better and keeps the flowers looking their best for longer.
