Oh so beautiful: flowers on a platter
Do you love flowers and regularly bring a beautiful bouquet into your home? A few flower stems will do, less is more! Thera, also known as MyHomeOfZodiac, got creative with Anthurium and Cymbidium. Two exotic flowers that combine well. The result is beautiful in all its simplicity!
Exotic flowers
Thera: “Interior stylists love platters. You can easily group different accessories in unity. And a platter can be used for any decoration in any season, as they come in countless shapes and sizes. So, whether you are into a country or modern style of living, there is always a platter that fits your interior.”

Thera: “I picked out a white, ceramic platter with a serene look. This forms the basis. On the platter, I put two glass vases instead of ceramic ones. This gives the styling some transparency. Each vase is filled with a few Anthurium and Cymbidium branches. I cut them at different lengths for a playful effect, which is enhanced by the different colours of the flowers: red, pink, and white. To finish it off, I added a candle. Just like the platter, the vases and candle have round shapes.”
Strong stems
The vase life of both Anthurium and Cymbidium is not affected by the length of the flower’s stem. As long as there is enough water in the vase, you can enjoy both flowers for at least three weeks. And so it goes: the cleaner the water, the longer you can enjoy your flowers. The stems do not easily cloud the water. When this does happen, refresh the water and cut an inch off the stems. With a glass vase, you can easily keep an eye on the water quality.
