Originally, Anthuriums grow outdoors – in the tropical rainforests of South America – but we know them as indoor plants. This is because they are accustomed to warmth and high humidity, and they cannot tolerate cold temperatures. When the temperature drops below 17°C, they feel “chilly.” However, this does not mean that Anthuriums can’t be placed outside. During the summer, you can place Anthuriums in the garden! Read on to discover essential tips and get inspired.

Anthuriums in the garden

An anthurium can be placed outside, if the conditions are optimal. It’s a tropical plant, so it likes warm temperatures. When the temperature hovers around 20°C, the Anthurium can be placed in the garden. However, ensure that it is in a sheltered spot away from the wind and placed in the shade. And if the nights get cooler, it’s best to bring the plant back indoors.
