DIY: how to reuse empty jars & old vases
We already saw it in the style trends of 2022: after the corona crisis, it feels like we are getting a second chance, in which sustainability, climate solutions and decluttering are central. And no one said that can’t be done in a fun way! You can do a lot with the things you already have at home. For example, take a look at the vases you never use: maybe you can give them a makeover? The same goes for empty jars. Paint them and use them as tiny vases! In this article we’ll show you how easy it is to reuse empty jars & old vases.
DIY: how to reuse empty jars
From now on, don’t immediately throw empty jars in the glass container, but keep them for a while. Maybe you can use them as tiny vases!
Necessities:
• Empty jars in all shapes and sizes, cleaned
• Paint
• Brushes
How to:
Start painting the jars. Think for yourself what you like best: to paint the jars completely or just part of it? Of course you can also do a combination. Let them dry and when needed give them a second coat of paint.

DIY: how to reuse old vases
You can easily upgrade the vases you have at home by painting them. But if you stir some baking soda through the paint, it creates a texture. If you also opt for paint in natural tones, your old vases will look like Mediterranean ones! Really, you won’t recognize them.
Necessities:
• Old vases
• Paint
• Baking soda
• Brushes
How to:
Pour some paint into a container and add a bit of baking soda. Stir well. It may foam a bit, but that’s okay. Then paint the jars and let them dry. They probably need a second coat of paint. Arrange the vases, put Anthurium flowers in them and there are your new interior accessoires!
