Anthuriums as cut flowers are available in a multitude of shapes, colours and patterns. This makes them the ideal flowers for bridal decorations. After all, you’ll always be able to find a variety that will fit the theme of your wedding to perfection. To illustrate this, here are a number of ideas for using Anthurium flowers to create a floral wedding.

Bridal bouquet

The most obvious use of flowers for weddings is the bridal bouquet. For this purpose, the shape and colour of Anthuriums makes them real eye-catchers.

On the table

Small vases filled with flowers make a table look oh so inviting! Make sure, however, to use really small ones both to leave enough room for the tableware, silverware and glasses and so that guests can still see each other across the table.

Place cards

Reserved seating isn’t always used at wedding receptions these days, but place cards could also be considered an addition to the table decoration. Since cut Anthurium flowers have such sturdy stems, they make ideal place card holders.

Chair decorations

An Anthurium’s sturdy stem gives it yet another purpose: use these cut flowers to decorate the chairs. As you can see from the photo below, quite a length of twine has been used to secure the stem to the chair. Not every flower can take this kind of ‘punishment’.

The bridal table

If the bridal couple is seated in the front so that they can see all their guests, you could beautifully decorate the other side of the table with flowers. After all, no one will be sitting there. And why not disguise the edge of the table with a tablecloth in a pretty colour, cut foliage and Anthurium flowers?

A floral wall element

Will there be a spot set up as a photo booth? If so, here’s a nifty idea: use a wall element covered in flowers as a backdrop. This is certainly an Instagram-worthy spot where many beautiful pictures are guaranteed to be taken. A wall element could also be made for the ceremony itself. This really sets the scene for the ceremony and ensures wonderful pictures of the vows.
