Step-by-step guide

Start by breaking off a piece of clay and dividing it into two parts. Roll each part into a long, thin strand and join the tops together with a small amount of water. Then braid the two strands and attach the ends again – using a bit of water if needed. There’s your napkin ring! Make as many as you like.

You can let the clay air-dry, but if you’re short on time, you can also place the rings in the oven for a brief moment. Once the napkin rings are completely dry, you can paint them. Make sure no clay is visible, and the whole surface is covered. When the paint has dried, spray the rings with varnish for a beautiful, glossy finish.

When styling your Christmas table, thread a napkin through the ring and add an Anthurium flower. We chose green paint and red Anthurium flowers, but there are, of course, endless colour combinations possible.
